Ordering,Payment & Shipping To place an order, use the "Add To Cart" buttons to add items to your shopping cart. Your shipping and payment information will be collected at check out. I accept credit and debit card payments through PayPal, cashier's checks and money orders. Sorry, I do not accept personal checks at this time. For your own protection, please do no send cash. To remit a secure credit or debit card payment through PayPal, you no longer need to have a PayPal account, so you can pay online even without a PayPal membership. I have used PayPal many, many times for many years and have never had a problem with it (buying or selling), so I offer it confidently as a safe, conveinent way for you to use plastic. If you'd prefer to "snail mail" your payment with a cashier's check or money order, you will be contacted via email with the address to mail your payment. All orders are shipped same or next day of receipt of payment, if all the items in your order are in stock. If an item in your order is made to order, your entire order will be shipped together when that item is made, normally in 3-5 business days. Local orders are available for free pick-up. Custom jewelry creations generally ship 2-4 weeks after payment has been received. I ship via the United States Postal Service by First Class or Priority Mail for a flat rate fee of $2.00 for First Class Mail and $5.00 for Priority Mail. At this time, I am only able to ship within the continental United States of America. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges If you receive your order and it does not meet your expectations for whatever reason, please contact me within 48 hours to arrange for a return and refund or exchange. Returns will be accepted as long as the item(s) are received in their original condition and mailed in a bubble wrap padded envelope within 14 business days of our arrangement. A full refund or credit will be issued, minus shipping charges. I cannot be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in return mail, so please consider insuring your return package. Returns are not accepted on custom jewelry orders or on items purchased in person, at shows or parties. Those transactions are final at the time of the sale. I do my best to make high quality jewelry that is durable for normal use, however all of my jewelry is made by hand by me and although I'm "practically perfect in every way" just like Mary Poppins, I'm not entirely perfect. If an item has failed in craftsmanship within one year of the purchase date, I will repair the item free of charge. You must email me prior to returning your damaged item for approval, please include your name, telephone number and a description of the item and its injury. I cannot be responsible for pieces that are lost, stolen, run through the washer, dropped down a drain or on a tile floor, run over by a car or ingested by a pet or small child. In some cases I can repair pieces damaged due to neglegence, however, there will be a fee for this based on labor and replacement supplies. Cleaning & Care It breaks my heart to think of my creations being abused, left on a night stand or on the back of a toliet box to collect dust and "rot"...here are some helpful suggestions regarding cleaning and care of Jewelry By Erin: To prevent tarnish, store your sterling silver and silver plated pieces in an airtight container, such as a zip top plastic baggie, when you are not wearing them. All of my items are shipped to you in their own personal baggie that is perfect to store them in. For sterling silver and silver plated tarnish removal and polishing, use a silver polishing cloth. I use the Connoisseurs brand which is readily available in many stores. Use a cotton swab soaked in liquid jewelry cleaning solution to get into nooks and crannies. Do not use a liquid dip-style cleaner on pieces that have gemstones or freshwater pearls or on Bali silver or other oxidized components. Always put your jewelry on after you've completed your beauty regimine and beauty products have dried (hair spray, perfume, lotion, etc.) to prevent funky, gunky, residue build up. Freshwater pearls should have as little contact with water as possible. Be sure to take pieces with freshwater pearls off before showering, swimming...or any other activity where you think you may get wet. Have a jewelry cleaning tip or trick? Do tell! I can resize, reconfigure or redesign any Jewelry By Erin piece to meet your needs. Email me to discuss your request. Some necklace, bracelets and anklets can be customized free of charge, others will require a small fee dependent upon labor and supplies. Customizations, due to their unique nature and differences in pieces, are quoted on a case by case basis. Any pair of Jewelry By Erin earrings can be made into clip-ons for an additonal $2.50/pair. Payment is expected in full on your custom order when it is placed and is non-refundable. When payment is received, your order will be added to my queue and shipped in 2-4 weeks. The majority of custom orders require me to obtain beads, findings, clasps, etc. that I do not generally keep on hand due to cost. Turnaround is dependent upon my suppliers and how many custom projects I'm working on. A photo of your completed piece will be emailed to you before it is shipped for your approval. All custom jewelry order quotes include USPS Priority Shipping and Insurance. Please be advised that custom jewelry orders are non-refundable. Orphan Earrings I am happy to replace your runaway Jewelry By Erin earring at half the original cost of the pair if I have (or can obtain) materials to match the orphan. Email me with your request and I'll do my best to make a replacement. Image Accuracy I try to have images that accurately represent my pieces, however, I am still a novice at photographing jewelry.
